Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using MakeUUID.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using MakeUUID, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this service.

Service Description

MakeUUID is a free tool for generating and validating Universally Unique Identifiers (UUIDs) according to RFC 4122 and RFC 9562 specifications. The service supports UUID versions 1 through 7, with validation capabilities.

Use License

Permission is granted to use MakeUUID for personal and commercial purposes, including:

  • Generating UUIDs for your applications and projects
  • Validating UUID strings

You may not:

  • Attempt to reverse engineer or compromise the service
  • Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Overload the service with excessive requests

Disclaimer

MakeUUID is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • That the service will meet your specific requirements
  • That defects will be corrected

UUID Uniqueness

While UUIDs are designed to be universally unique, we cannot guarantee absolute uniqueness in all cases. UUID v4 (random) has a negligible collision probability, but it is theoretically possible. Users should understand the characteristics of each UUID version before use.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall MakeUUID or its operators be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit) arising out of the use or inability to use this service.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, updates, or technical issues may temporarily affect service availability.

Modifications

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time without notice. We also reserve the right to update these Terms of Use at any time.

Third-Party Links

MakeUUID may contain links to third-party websites (such as RFC documentation and GitHub). We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these external sites.
