MakeUUID is designed with privacy in mind. All UUID generation happens locally in your browser or on our server without storing any personally identifiable information.

Data Storage

We do not store, collect, or transmit any UUIDs you generate. The generated UUIDs exist only in your browser session and are not sent to any external servers for storage or analysis.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how users interact with our service. This helps us improve the tool. The analytics data collected is anonymized and includes:

• Page views and navigation patterns
• UUID generation events (version types and counts)
• General usage statistics

No personally identifiable information or generated UUIDs are sent to analytics services.

Cookies

We use cookies only for analytics purposes through Google Analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings if you prefer.

Third-Party Services

MakeUUID uses the following third-party services:

This service has its own privacy policy and data handling practices. MakeUUID also links out to StatusHarbor, a separate product by the same maker, but that is an ordinary link: nothing from StatusHarbor is embedded here and it sets no cookies on this site.

MakeUUID carries no advertising and no third-party ad or tracking scripts. Every tool on the site runs in your browser, so the text you paste into the hash, JWT and cron tools is never sent to a server.

Data Security

Since we do not collect or store personal information, there is minimal risk to your data. All UUID generation happens securely using industry-standard algorithms.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and Switzerland, this section explains how MakeUUID complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

No Personal Data Collection

Third-Party Analytics Only

The only data processing that occurs is through Google Analytics 4, a third-party service that collects anonymized usage statistics such as page views and feature usage. This data is:

• Processed by Google, not by us
• Anonymized and does not identify individual users
• Used solely to understand how the service is used and improve it
• Subject to Google's own GDPR compliance measures

Your Rights

Since we do not collect or store personal data, most GDPR rights (such as access, rectification, or erasure) do not apply to MakeUUID directly. However, you can:

• Control cookies: Disable analytics cookies through your browser settings
• Opt-out of Google Analytics: Use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
• Manage Google data: Control your analytics data through Google Account settings

International Data Transfers

Analytics data collected by Google Analytics may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where Google operates. Google provides appropriate safeguards for these transfers in compliance with GDPR requirements.
